Cheers to the challenges distance lends

Cutting Chai!!!!

At the gym over a wallowing chat,

Popped out an idea that for once didn’t fall flat…

'Cutting chai it is!!' said a friend  with glee.

And here I am on a cooking spree.

Mornings I spend happily cooking for friends

In a kitchen with no more odds and ends

Afternoons spent working for a cause

Gladly getting back to life without a pause....

Out of the blue.....

All her bags unpacked,

Books and Apparels primly stacked.

Well settled by the window facing the new green;

Admiring the new sheen;

She thinks about the months that have passed,

With no deadlines yet questions asked.

To her it seemed like time well spent,

Although, she wishes she had grasped the accent.

She started to blog with dollar dreams,

To realize it’s not as easy as it seems.

Chirpy times with the kids she adores,

Blended with broody dragging chores.

Hours together at a coffee shop,

With paper, pens and latte to drop.

Travel, dance,food,books and a lot more

Barely sums up to the mere months by the shore

Clothes from the washer have come out clean,

I solve a few problems of median mode and mean.

The dishes are done and there is nothing in the sink,

Which gives me some time to sit back and think.

I blog a few lines nonsensical to some it seems,

Such is the life I lead with extremes……..

To my iPhone,

Loving someone new and still thinking about you,

I realized this day, is not the right thing to do.

I don’t want to let you go, but inside me I know I must;

Wish I were rich enough to see you gather dust.

I shall pray you find a way to live,

To the best bidder I shall give.

A quick catch up my cheesy way.....

Its been a month since I blogged and hence,,,,

Joyfully the month began,

With fun and frolic under the sun.

Few times I was caught in the smog,

The other times I slept like a log.

Chicago it was this week and last,

Before we could realize two weeks had passed.

To hit the road “written test” I did clear,

For the road test I am preparing to gear.

Dull moments passed by at the blink of an eye,

The book that I now read is Catcher in the Rye.

As a kid you liked another’s toy,

Toys your own fetched no joy.

In  adolescence you wanna be, 

Someone you are not meant to be.

As an adult you tend to condescend,

For many reasons you have failed to transcend.

The more you compared ,the more you cried,

For the grass less green on the other side.
